A Great Tit arrives, and the Blue Tit sets out to do battle. Note the attitude of the Blue Tit - nose to tail is horizontal, back to breast is horizontal, left to right side is vertical. Its right wing appears to be folded - its tip appears visible through the tail feathers. (Why does it want to fight? How is it actually flying?) Web search

I had a 35mm camera with 300mm lens fully open at f/4.5 on a tripod, pre-focussed on a bird-seed-feeder about 10 foot away. The camera was fired single-shot (motorised wind-on but not continuous) with a 1-metre cable release. |
