Photographs - first second third fourth

The Blue Tit drops down, one foot free and the other clutching the Great Tit's right wing, pulling it open and rotating the Great Tit round the perch. The Great Tit still has the seed in its bill! (There isn't a photograph of what happened next - me, rolling on the floor laughing!)

My garden

January 2003, poor lighting conditions

I had a 35mm camera with 300mm lens fully open at f/4.5 on a tripod, pre-focussed on a bird-seed-feeder about 10 foot away. The camera was fired single-shot (motorised wind-on but not continuous) with a 1-metre cable release.
